Oxenfoord Castle, which commands a magnificent position above the river Tyne on the A68 near Pathhead, is A listed and was designed by Robert Adam between 1780 -82 and included part of an older 16th century tower. Further extensions were made by William Burn between between 1840-42.
Members are invited to a private visit hosted by Harriet Dalrymple to include a tour of the castle and refreshments on a reception room. members are then free to explore the grounds.
